How useful an error page can really be?
The Dell Women’s Entrepreneur Network DWEN Summit is an international conference that unites female entrepreneurs from across the world in sharing experiences, successes, resources to support business growth.
In 2018, the summit was held in Toronto and our team was tasked with creating the theme and branding the event space.

Where Passion Meets Purpose
This is an event that fosters the collaboration of ideas and best practices from women with different backgrounds and experience in business. One of the original concepts that resonated with the clients, was the deconstructed compass. The imagery style chosen were candid shots, capturing women passionately engaging in their day to day work activities. The clients wanted to lighten the color palette for the women’s summit and and align it closer to the girls track program.

Adding more prominent search bar. But if the page is missing, will search be helpful? Also the search results in the regular search leave alot to be desired. Do we want to put users through that?
Dynamic Links
What if we could display the top 5 most popular links on solarwinds.com or even better, provide links based of the users history?!. We need logic for that.

Our final headline for the event was Find Your True North, a play on the location of Toronto as well as an aspirational or guiding principle. To unify the two events, we created similar palettes with just a difference in the primary color for each. I built out the style guide with a few examples certain deliverables for handout to a production team stationed closer to the event site so it would be easier to ship and set up.
